We are very much looking forward to the 2021 World Dressage Breeding Championships. Returning to Verden this year and set to take place from 25th – 29th August, the Championships, which are organised in collaboration with the FEI, are a true highlight in the annual Dressage and Breeding calendar. Over the years, the event has introduced a plethora of exciting young horse and rider combinations to the international stage, and we cannot wait to meet this year’s dressage stars of the future.
says WBFSH Executive Committee Member, Klaus Miesner:
"Borne out of our collaboration with the FEI, the World Breeding Championships are very close to our heart and are central to our mission of fostering a strong relationship between breeding and the sport. Having sadly had to cancel last year's event due to the Corona pandemic, we are particularly looking forward to welcoming a new generation of young horses to Verden this August."
Across the world, qualification events are on their way as we speak, under the watchful eye of the different National Federations, as each participating country seeks to identify the most promising candidates to represent them in this highly exciting and prestigious event.
says WBFSH President, Jan Pedersen:
"The World Dressage Breeding Championship are without doubt the flagship event for the collaboration between breeding and the sport. It is always a great pleasure for us to be there and meet breeders, riders, owners and studbook representatives from all over the world. I know that the organising team at Verden is using its ingenuity and passion to put on an event that - despite some challenging circumstances due to ongoing Covid restriction – will be one for us all to remember."
