21st - 24th October 2021
Since the year 2000, the top 6 and 7-year-old eventing horses have competed in Le Lion d’Angers, France for the title of World Champion of young eventing horses.
As with the disciplines of jumping and dressage, these Championships put a spotlight on the connection between breeding and the sport. The choices made by breeders at the time of covering their mares have influenced the steady rise in the level of the sport. Many horses that competed successfully in Le Lion d’Angers have gone on to excel in the international arena, a trend which is also seen in the World Breeding Championships of the other two disciplines.
The 2021 Championships are scheduled to take place from 21st to 24th October.
Information regarding the championship can be found on the FEI website.
