• President Department

Welcome to the Department of the President of the WBFSH, which lies at the very heart of our organisation.

From his office at the beautiful Vilhelmsborg Manor in Denmark, our President Jan Pedersen oversees the general management of the WBFSH and the coordination of all the projects and activities of its departments. The President is the public face of our organisation, representing the WBFSH on the world stage, such as the annual World Breeding Championships for Dressage, Showjumping and Eventing.

He stays in close contact with the General Manager and the Board members to lead our organisation, and to lead breeding into the future. For his outstanding contribution to Danish sport horse breeding, Jan Pedersen has been honoured with the Knight of 1st degree of the Dannebrog Order by Her Majesty Queen Margrethe of Denmark.

    Jan Pedersen

Welcome to the departments of the World Breeding Federation for Sports Horses, an organisation I have been immensely proud to lead since 1999. As a breeder of dressage horses myself, I know from my own experience the genuine passion, care and commitment that goes into breeding the equine stars of the future.

Without our breeders across the world, there would be no equestrianism. I am deeply committed to helping them to gain the recognition they deserve and to building a strong and thriving community in which we support each other to breed the very best. We breeders are eternal optimists, with every new foal born, a new flame of hope is lit for a bright future. It is a pleasure and a privilege to bring this sense of optimism and adventure to our organisation, and through it to the wider equestrian world.

"I hope you enjoy your visit to our WBFSH website, which is packed full of information about our many exciting projects and activities. If you would like to find out more or become involved, do not hesitate to get in touch, our team and I would be delighted"
