With the start of a new WBFSH rankings cycle, the breeder and studbook rankings return to zero — and the race to the top begins again. Heading into the second half of our cycle and as the 2026 season gains momentum, the WBFSH monthly rankings are back, highlighting the horses already making headlines across the world’s biggest arenas.
Dressage Breeder Ranking
The first WBFSH Dressage Breeder Ranking of 2026 already promises an intense battle at the top. Ridden by Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour (DEN), Hannoverian mare MOUNT ST JOHN FREESTYLE (Fidermark x Donnerhall) takes the lead with 2675 points, notably winning the FEI Dressage World Cup™ qualifier in Herning with over 90%. Meanwhile, Belgian sensation Justin Verboomen and Rheinland stallion ZONIK PLUS (Glock’s Zonik x Hohenstein) have rapidly established themselves among the world’s elite following their well-established winning streak. KWPN Stallion and former world champion GLAMOURDALE (Lord Leatherdale x Negro) completes the top three with 2551 points, continuing his remarkable consistency at the highest level with Charlotte Fry (GBR).
Jumping Breeder Ranking
In jumping, BULL RUN’S JIREH aka UNO 56 (Uriko x Colman) opens the 2026 rankings on top with 1146 points. Ridden by Kristen Vanderveen (USA), the Holsteiner gelding recently claimed victory in the CSI5* Grand Prix in Doha, confirming his status among the sport’s elite combinations. Second place goes to the Selle Français mare DYNASTIE DE BEAUFOUR (Diamant de Semilly x Cassini II) with 1020 points after a series of top-level CSI5* performances under Nina Mallevaey (FRA). Fellow Selle Français stallion GANGSTER MONTDESIR (Kannan x Cornet Obolensky) follows closely in third position with 1007 points, partnered with Richard Vogel (GER) and collecting a series of major Grand Prix placings during the Wellington and Major League Show Jumping circuits.
Eventing Breeder Ranking
The Eventing Breeder Ranking is led by Irish Sport Horse gelding HSH BLAKE aka GALWAYBAY HSH REDFIELD (Tolan R x Kannan) with 202 points. Partnered with Caroline Pamukcu (USA), the gelding maintained his top-level consistency and notably achieved a 2nd place at the Defender Kentucky Three Day Event CCI5*-L. In second place is the Holsteiner COMMANDO 3 (Connor 46 x Amigo xx) with 185 points, continuing to deliver consistent top-level performances in international events together with Martin Boyd (USA). Third place goes to GALILEO NIEUWMOED (Carambole x Harcos) with 172 points, the KWPN gelding ridden by David Doel (GBR), who notably secured a podium at the Defender Kentucky Three Day Event CCI5*-L and granted his breeder, Andre Jurries, with the title of WBFSH Breeder of the Year back in 2023.
