  • This is a wonderful opportunity for someone that is passionate about the breeding industry and equestrian sport, and who is able to work independently. Part-time free-lance position (15 hours per week) with a six-month probation period.

    Purpose of the position:

    This is a remote position, that requires reporting directly to the WBFSH general manager to assist with administrative, communication and marketing tasks. This includes communication with studbook members, assisting with social media, website updates and communications of news. Projects vary throughout the year, and there will be organisational involvement with respect to the World Breeding Championships and the General Assembly amongst other possible projects and events.


    Assistance during meetings & webinars may be necessary at times. Some travel may be required in the future, but is not a given.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assistance with website updates, press office, newsletters, and social media
    • Assistance with assimilation of information from stakeholders for various reports
    • Arranging meetings (in-person and/or conference calls) (including distribution of meeting files)
    • Assistance with preparations, logistics & communications for events (e.g. webinars, World Breeding Championships, General Assembly, Breeder Awards)
    • May require attendance of executive & joint committee conference calls, possibly taking of minutes


    Position Requirements:

    • Basic knowledge of the equestrian and breeding industry & a willingness to learn
    • International orientation and experience is a plus
    • Based in Europe is a plus but not essential
    • Perfect fluency in English (good command of writing skills and grammar)
    • Good communication skills and ability to interact efficiently & professionally with stakeholders
    • Able to take initiative and work independently with good organisational skills; this is a remote position
    • Ability to work to deadlines
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PPT)
    • Social media skills (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
    • Excellent knowledge of MailChimp and platforms such as Zoom
    • Renumeration will be determined according to the level of previous experience. Annual leave and sick leave provided.
